GCR 3 Clear Top Coat is a non-immersible, high performance, zero VOC, aliphatic polyurethane that provides a continuous high or low gloss finish, whereby eliminating the need to strip, wax and buff floors with heavy machines and harsh chemicals. GCR 3 has high wear resistance and can be easily maintained through normal good housekeeping procedures with a damp mop. It can also be recoated or repaired when needed. For damaged, worn or mismatched floors, GCR 3 can be applied over the GCR 2 Epoxy Base Coat to create a new seamless floor with optional decorative broadcast media.
Intended Uses:
Finish: Clear gloss or satin (satin available for concrete applications only)
Stripper: GCR 1 (VCT or rubber - floor scrubber suggested)
Primer: Concrete - Use Masonry Conditioner (call Genesis for details)
VOC: 0 g/L
Flash Point: Non-flammable
Mix Ratio: Pre-measured kits (catalyst, base, water reducer)
Mils Thickness: 2-4 dry mils (DFT)
Pot Life (70°F): Regular Version: 1.5 hrs Faster Dry: 30-45 mins
Drying Schedule: (5 mils @ 50% RH) Times are temperature and humidity dependent:
To touch: 4-8 hours
Tack Free: 6-8 hours
Re-Coat: 8 hours or until tack free
Dry Hard: 12-24 hours
Full Cure: 3 days
*After the re-coat window, sanding and cleaning with a neutral cleaner are necessary prior to application of the second coat. Call manufacturer for more details.
Storage: 12 month shelf life if stored unopened at 45°-70°F. Open and inspect after 1 year. Keep from freezing and prolonged exposure to sunlight and heat.
Reducer: 16.9 oz pre-packaged reducer included with the 1 unit kit. See mfg’s printed application instructions for more reduction info.

Spread rate is dependent on application method, substrate and anticipated level of use. Below figures are estimates. Testing should be completed for accurate figures. Application loss factor is not covered due to surface profile, porosity, surface irregularities, application technique, spillage, film build or climatic conditions. Coverage rates below are per 1 Unit Kit (Note: 4 Unit Kit will yield 4 times the coverage):
