Surface Preparation & Application Highlights

Surface Preparation:

All surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned and degreased, and free of mold and all other impurities.

Mixing Ratio (by weight):

25 parts GCR 660 Reducer / 10 parts GCR 37 Activator

Mix the GCR 660 and GCR-37 Activator completely before adding the GCP 3000 base.

Once mixed, add 100 parts GCP 3000 Soft Feel base.

Application:

Spray viscosity is 25-35 seconds #2 EZ Zahn cup. Spray with conventional or HVLP spray gun to achieve 1.5-2.0 mils DFT.

Clean-up:

Clean all equipment immediately after use or before designated pot life has ended. Use VOC approved solvent, ketone mixture, or other Genesis Coatings designated solvent.

Theoretical Coverage Rates

Spread rate is dependent on application method, substrate and anticipated level of use. Below figures are for estimation purposes only. Testing should be completed for accurate figures. Application loss factor is not covered due to surface profile, porosity, application technique, surface irregularities, spillage, climatic conditions or film build:

Spread @ 1 mil - 400 square feet (theoretical)

100% transfer efficiency

Safety and Handling

This product must be mixed with a catalyst containing isocyanates. People who have chronic (long-term) lung or breathing problems or have had a reaction to isocyanates must not be in the area when this product is being applied. In spray application when over spray is not totally controlled, air-supplied respirators are recommended to prevent exposure. Where air- supplied respirators are not available, a vapor/particulate combination respirator, recommended by the respirator manufacturer for protection against isocyanate spray paints, may be effective. DANGER! HARMFUL IF INHALED MAY AFFECT THE BRAIN OR NERVOUS SYSTEM, CAUSING DIZZINESS, HEADACHE OR NAUSEA, IRRIT A TES EYES, SKIN AND RESPIRATORY TRACT. Contents are FLAMMABLE. Vapors may cause flash fires. Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flame. During use and until all vapor are gone: Keep area ventilated – Do not smoke – Extinguish all fames, pilot lights, and heaters – Turn off stoves, electric tools and appliances, and any other sources of ignition. CONTAINS: KETONES AND ACETATES. VAPOR HARMFUL. Use only with adequate ventilation. Wear an appropriate properly fitted respirator (NIOSH/MSHA approved) during and after application, unless air monitoring demonstrates vapor/mist levels, are below applicable limits. Follow respirator manufacturer’s directions for respirator use, Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wash hands after using. Keep container closed when not in use. Do not transfer contents to other containers for storage.

FIRST AID

IF INHALED: If affected, remove from exposure. Restore breathing. Keep warm and quiet.

IF ON SKIN: Wash affected area thoroughly with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing. Launder before re-use. IF IN EYES: Flush eyes with large amounts of water for 15 minutes. Get medical attention.

SPILL AND WASTE: Remove with inert absorbent. Incinerate in approved facility. Do not incinerate closed container. Dispose of in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulation regarding pollution.
